Annapurna Region
Trekking is biggest trekking region in Nepal. It has covered big areas of Nepal which
spreads from Lamjung district to Kaski district. It has long and long ranges of
Himalayas. Trekker can experience unique Nepali cultures, traditions and
lifestyle of people with great Himalayan views during the trekking.
Annapurna Region Trekking lies in the western
part of Nepal. This area is dominated by the Annapurna Himalayas, Fishtail,
Lamjung Himal, Manaslu Himal, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and other Himalayas too and
the village of Ghandruk, Chhomrong, Landruk, Dhampus and Pokhara City. Most
Popular Trekking route in these regions are Annapurna Circuit trek and Annapurna Base Camp Trekking, Ghorepani Poon
Hill Trek, Ghandruk Village Trek, Manang Valley Trek, Nar phu Valley Trek,
Tilicho Lake Trek.
Also
this region has covered 5 districts of Nepal which are Kaski, Baglung, Mustang, Manang
and Lamjung. There are three major trekking routes in central and western part
of Nepal. Annapurna Circuit TrekkingTrails begin from Beshi Sahar of Lamjung and head to Manang which passes thorong
la, then get to Muktinath. This is route of Pisang Peak climbing, Chulu West Peak climbing, Chulu
East Peak too.
These
routes begins from Pokhara to Jomsom to Annapurna sanctuary, Upper Mustang trek, Round Annapurna trek and other nar phu valley, tilicho lake trek and
out from Besi Sahar. Pokhara is also a good starting place for short treks of
one to four days, including the "Royal" trek, which is described
here.
Mustang
is also geographically a part of the Annapurna Region Trekking, but because
treks to Mustang are subject to special restrictions so need special permit,
this is described it in the separate page on restricted area treks. About
two-thirds of the trekkers in Nepal visit the Annapurna Region Trekking.
Most
popular trek is Annapurna Circuit Treking this region, which trek is done by thousands of trekkers every year. The Annapurna
trekking area is easily accessible, hotels in the hills are plentiful, and
treks here offer good scenery of both high mountains and lowland villages.

routes but Everest Base Camp Trek
and Everest View Trek are mostly
trekker used to do.
