Everest Region Trekking in Nepal

Mt. Everest Region Trekking is most popular and famous all over the world since it has been opened for trekkers. Everest region trekking is known as the khumbu region of Nepal too, which became one of the best-known treks in the world. This is the land of the Sherpa People and the world’s great 8,000 meter peaks like as Nuptse, Mt Makalu, Cho Oyu etc....
Many trekkers walk in from the road head at Jiri, through the lovely rolling hills of the Solu region.

Some trekkers direct fly in to the village of Lukla to start their trek.
Lukla is the entrance to Mt EverestRegion trekking by flight which covers the Sagarmatha National Park and the town of Namche Bazaar, where most trekkers take a day to acclimatize to the high altitude.

In Everest Region, two popular trekking areas are separated from Namche Bazaar which is Everest Base Camp Trekking and Gokyo LakeTrekking. Everest Base Camp trek counts in world's best trekking destination in the world.

From Namche Bazaar one may branch towards the village of Thame or continue on to take of the two main Khumbu routes, to Gokyo Lake or towards the Everest base camp. Beyond Namche Bazaar is the Sherpa village of Khumjung and further on the famous monastery of Thyangboche.


The famous Sherpa festival called the Mani Rimdu festival of dances is celebrated every year in Everest Region which is relates with Tibetan culture and tradition. Also Everest region gives us good knowledge of Sherpa life style, its culture, tradition and customs.
